Ricochet Duo Plugs In …

Energetic, Electric, and Eclectic perhaps best describes Ricochet Duo’s newest program. On Saturday, November 5th, pianist Rose Chancler and Jane Boxall on marimba debuts this program entitled Wired! in Plattsburgh, NY on Sunday, November 6th and Winooski, VT on Monday, November 7th.
Wired! is a concert program for piano and marimba mixed with an electroacoustic element. Bringing together a wide-range of composers, Ricochet Duo delves into an exploration of the crossover between classical and contemporary styles and turns the spotlight on rhythm and the interlocking of piano and marimba sounds. Wired! features works by ten composers from around the globe including Joshua Clausen, Paul Elwood, Marc Mellits, Steve Reich, John Psathas, Teresa Procaccini, Hilary Tann, Alejandro Viñao, Takashi Yoshimatsu, and Martin Wesley-Smith.
